lighting rig
Theatrical lamp array
A lighting rig is the assembled system of lights, fixtures, cables, and mounting structures used to illuminate a stage, film set, or other performance space.
The term covers everything from a simple setup of a few spotlights to elaborate arrays suspended from trusses: The crew spent hours setting up the lighting rig before the concert.
In smaller contexts, it can refer to any customized lighting arrangement: a photography lighting rig.
