light sensitivity
Reacting to illumination
Light sensitivity is the degree to which something responds to light.
In photography, a film or sensor's light sensitivity determines how much illumination it needs for proper exposure.
In medicine, light sensitivity (photosensitivity) describes eyes or skin that react painfully or adversely to light: The medication causes light sensitivity, so wear sunglasses outdoors.
Some people experience light sensitivity as a migraine symptom.
