keepy-uppy

Football juggling game

Keepy-uppy is the activity of repeatedly kicking a football into the air without letting it touch the ground, using feet, knees, chest, or head.

It's both a casual pastime and a way to practice ball control skills.

The term is primarily British and often appears in contexts of showing off or killing time: He did keepy-uppy in the park while waiting for his mates.

The plural keepy-uppies may refer to the individual kicks or bounces counted during the exercise.
