interphone
Building talk system
An interphone is a communication system allowing conversation between different locations within a building, vehicle, or aircraft.
The term is essentially synonymous with intercom, though interphone appears more often in aviation contexts—connecting pilots, crew, and ground personnel: The captain spoke to the cabin crew over the interphone.
