internet streaming
Digital content delivery
Internet streaming is the continuous transmission of audio or video content over the internet, played as it arrives rather than downloaded first.
Users stream movies, music, live broadcasts, and podcasts through services like Netflix or Spotify: I've been streaming that show all weekend.
The verb stream and noun streaming have largely replaced older terms for online media consumption.
