watch party
Group screening event
A watch party is a gathering where people view something together, typically a sporting event, TV show premiere, or political broadcast.
The term has extended to online contexts where participants stream the same content while connected via chat or video: We're hosting a watch party for the season finale.
The appeal lies in shared reactions and community commentary.
