insomniacs
Restless night sufferers
Insomniacs are people who suffer from insomnia—chronic difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.
The term often carries a sense of shared identity among those who know the frustration of lying awake at 3 a.m.: Fellow insomniacs will understand the appeal of late-night television.
It can also describe someone temporarily sleepless: The coffee made insomniacs of us all.
