infrared lamp
Invisible light source
An infrared lamp emits infrared radiation—light waves just beyond the visible spectrum that produce heat when absorbed.
These lamps are used for therapeutic warming, keeping food hot, drying paint, and heating enclosed spaces like bathroom fixtures or animal brooders: The physical therapist positioned the infrared lamp over my sore shoulder.
