hyperawareness
Excessive sensory attention
Hyperawareness is a state of heightened attention to one's surroundings, body, or thoughts—often uncomfortably so.
The term appears in psychological contexts describing anxiety-driven vigilance: Her hyperawareness of every sound made sleep impossible.
It can also describe acute social sensitivity: a hyperawareness of how others perceive him.
The prefix suggests awareness pushed past useful levels into something exhausting or intrusive.
