hurdler
Track obstacle jumper
A hurdler is an athlete who competes in hurdle races, sprinting down a track while leaping over a series of barriers called hurdles.
The term applies to competitors in both track and field events and equestrian steeplechase.
By extension, hurdler can describe anyone who overcomes obstacles: She's been a hurdler all her life, never letting setbacks stop her.
