href

Web address pointer

Href is an HTML attribute that specifies a link's destination—short for "hypertext reference." It appears in anchor tags to tell browsers where to navigate when clicked: <a href="https://example.com">.

Web developers use href constantly; the term occasionally surfaces in casual tech conversation: Just update the href and the link will work.
