honky
Slur for Caucasians
Honky is a derogatory term for a white person, used primarily by Black Americans.
The word emerged in the mid-20th century and carries connotations of contempt or mockery: Some honky called the cops on us for no reason.
Though offensive, it lacks the historical weight and institutional power behind slurs directed at Black people, making it considerably less charged in practice.
