Honkies is the plural of honky, a derogatory slang term for a white person.
The word emerged from Black American speech in the mid-20th century.
Unlike racial slurs directed at minorities, honky carries relatively little sting—it's more dismissive than wounding: Those honkies don't know what they're talking about.
