holy cards
Devotional saint images
Holy cards are small devotional images, typically depicting saints, the Virgin Mary, or Jesus, distributed in Catholic and Orthodox Christian traditions.
About the size of a playing card, they often include a prayer or religious text on the back.
They're given as keepsakes at funerals, first communions, and confirmations, or collected as personal devotional aids: She kept a holy card of St. Anthony in her wallet.
