holiday season
Winter celebration time
The holiday season is the period from late November through early January in Western cultures, encompassing Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's, and other celebrations.
The phrase often appears in commercial contexts as a religiously neutral alternative to "Christmas season": The holiday season is our busiest time of year.
Also called simply the holidays.
