hipped

Obsessed with something

Hipped describes having hips of a particular kind, usually in combination: wide-hipped, narrow-hipped.

In architecture, a hipped roof slopes on all four sides rather than having vertical gable ends.

Separately, hipped is dated slang for obsessed or preoccupied with something: hipped on jazz, hipped on astrology—though this sense has largely fallen out of use.
