sway-backed
Back curves downward
Sway-backed describes a posture or condition where the back curves inward excessively, creating a sagging or concave appearance.
The term applies especially to horses whose spines dip noticeably between withers and hindquarters: a sway-backed old mare.
It extends to humans with pronounced lumbar curvature and to objects that sag in the middle: a sway-backed couch.
