heart sounds
Stethoscope's typical targets
Heart sounds are the noises produced by the heart during each cardiac cycle, heard through a stethoscope.
The two primary sounds—often described as "lub-dub"—result from heart valves closing.
Abnormal heart sounds, called murmurs, may indicate valve problems or other cardiac conditions.
The doctor listened for heart sounds.
