Arcadia
Greek bucolic land
Arcadia is a mountainous region in the central Peloponnese of Greece, idealized in classical poetry as a rustic paradise of shepherds and pastoral contentment.
The name has been borrowed for numerous places worldwide, including cities in California and Florida: We drove through Arcadia on the way to Pasadena. (Lowercase arcadia means any idyllic rural place.)
