go-back

Head the other way

A go-back is something that requires returning to address—an unfinished task, an unresolved issue, or a point that needs revisiting: We've got a few go-backs from yesterday's meeting.

In retail, a go-back is merchandise that customers left elsewhere in the store, requiring staff to return it to its proper location.
