Basketball offensive maneuver
Give and go is a basketball play where a player passes to a teammate and immediately cuts toward the basket to receive a return pass.
The move exploits the defender's momentary focus on the ball.
The term extends to similar plays in hockey, soccer, and other team sports: He executed a perfect give and go to slip past the defense.
