generalized anxiety disorder
Persistent excessive worry syndrome
Generalized anxiety disorder is a mental health condition marked by persistent, excessive worry about everyday matters—health, money, work, family—that the person finds difficult to control.
Unlike anxiety triggered by specific situations, it maintains a baseline of apprehension across domains.
Physical symptoms often accompany the worry: muscle tension, fatigue, restlessness, difficulty concentrating.
