Character sex change
Genderswap is the reimagining of a character, person, or narrative with the sex or gender changed from the original.
The term is most common in fan fiction and fan art, where creators produce alternate versions of existing characters: a genderswap fanfic where Harry Potter is a girl.
It also describes body-swap scenarios in fiction where characters exchange genders, or digital filters that alter someone's appearance to suggest a different sex.
