foxhunter
Rider with hounds
A foxhunter is someone who participates in foxhunting—the traditional sport of pursuing foxes on horseback with hounds.
The term applies both to riders and to the horses trained for this activity: She's been a foxhunter since childhood.
In British contexts especially, foxhunting carries class connotations, associated with rural aristocracy and landed gentry.
