force multiplier
Effort amplification tool
A force multiplier is something that dramatically increases the effectiveness of an effort beyond what would be expected from adding it alone.
The term originates in military strategy, where it describes factors like technology, training, or terrain that allow a smaller force to achieve disproportionate impact against a larger one.
The concept has spread to business, politics, and everyday planning: Good delegation is a force multiplier for any manager.
A force multiplier doesn't just add capability—it amplifies what's already there.
