foamcore

Lightweight display material

Foamcore is a lightweight, rigid board made of polystyrene foam sandwiched between two layers of paper or plastic.

It's widely used for mounting photographs, creating architectural models, making signs, and craft projects.

The material cuts easily with a blade and holds its shape well, making it a staple of presentation boards and prototype work: I mounted the poster on foamcore.

Also spelled foam core or foam board.
