flying frog

Webbed-foot parachutist

A flying frog is any of several tree frog species that can glide through the air using enlarged webbed feet and skin flaps along their limbs.

Found in Southeast Asian and South American rainforests, they launch from high branches and spread their membranes to slow descent and control direction: The flying frog glided fifty feet to a lower branch.
