flunkies

Toadies and lackeys

Flunkies is the plural of flunky, a person who does menial tasks or follows someone slavishly.

The word carries contempt—flunkies lack independence and do others' bidding: The CEO surrounded himself with flunkies who never challenged him.

Originally it meant a liveried servant, which explains the dismissive tone.

Also spelled flunkeys.
