fire exit sign
Evacuation route marker
A fire exit sign is a placard marking the location of an emergency exit or the route to one.
These signs typically glow green or red and are designed to remain visible during power outages.
Building codes require them in public spaces, workplaces, and multi-unit residences: Follow the fire exit signs to the stairwell.
