farm co-op
Shared farming enterprise
A farm co-op is a cooperative organization owned and operated by farmers who pool resources for mutual benefit.
Members might share equipment, purchase supplies in bulk at lower prices, or collectively market their crops and livestock.
The structure gives small-scale farmers bargaining power they wouldn't have individually: The farm co-op negotiated better rates with grain buyers.
