Fall time is a technical term in electronics for the duration it takes a signal or pulse to drop from its high level to its low level—typically measured between 90% and 10% of maximum amplitude.
It's the counterpart to rise time, and both are critical specifications for characterizing how quickly circuits respond: The oscilloscope showed a fall time of 2 nanoseconds.
