faddism
Fleeting enthusiasm worship
Faddism is excessive devotion to passing trends or fashions, or the tendency to adopt fads enthusiastically.
The word carries a dismissive edge—someone accused of faddism lacks discrimination or staying power: nutritional faddism, dietary faddism.
A faddist is a person given to faddism.
