inconstancy
Lack of steadfastness
Inconstancy is the quality of being changeable or unreliable—failing to remain steady in affection, loyalty, or purpose.
The word often carries moral weight, suggesting faithlessness: She accused him of inconstancy when letters from another woman surfaced.
It can also describe more neutral variability: the inconstancy of spring weather.
