faddishness
Fleeting trend obsession
Faddishness is the quality of being excessively devoted to passing trends or short-lived enthusiasms.
It suggests superficiality—chasing whatever is momentarily popular rather than developing lasting interests: The faddishness of the wellness industry makes it hard to know what actually works.
The word carries mild criticism, implying fickleness or lack of depth.
