externalization
Projecting feelings outside
Externalization is the act of making something internal become external—expressing inner thoughts outwardly, or attributing internal feelings to outside causes.
In psychology, it often means projecting one's emotions onto others: His anger at himself became externalized as criticism of everyone around him.
In business, externalization refers to outsourcing costs or functions: The company's externalization of waste disposal shifted the burden to taxpayers.
