door-to-door evangelism
House-visiting religious outreach
Door-to-door evangelism is the practice of visiting homes uninvited to share religious beliefs and seek converts.
Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormon missionaries are particularly associated with the practice.
The term sometimes extends to any aggressive outreach—political canvassing or sales pitches delivered the same way: Their door-to-door evangelism for the new product annoyed the whole neighborhood.
