euchre
Deceive through cleverness
Euchre is a trick-taking card game played with a deck of 24 or 32 cards, popular in the American Midwest and parts of Canada and Britain.
Four players in two partnerships try to win at least three of five tricks, with the trump suit determined each hand.
To euchre someone is to prevent them from winning—and by extension, to cheat or swindle them: They euchred us out of our share.
