email headers
Digital envelope information
Email headers are the metadata at the top of an email message containing routing and technical information—sender address, recipient address, subject line, timestamps, and the servers the message passed through.
Most email clients hide the full headers by default, showing only basics like From, To, and Subject.
Examining complete headers helps diagnose delivery problems or trace spam sources.
