electrical burn
Current-caused tissue damage
An electrical burn is tissue damage caused by electric current passing through the body.
Unlike thermal burns, electrical burns often cause more harm internally than what appears on the skin's surface, as current travels through nerves, blood vessels, and muscle.
The lineman suffered electrical burns to both hands where the current entered and exited.
