eared

Like certain seals

Eared describes something that has ears or ear-like projections.

Most commonly it appears as the second element of compounds: long-eared, floppy-eared, dog-eared.

A dog-eared book has corners folded down like a hound's drooping ears.

In biology, eared distinguishes species with visible ear structures from those without: eared seals have external ear flaps while true seals do not.

Eared can also describe vessels or containers with handles resembling ears.
