tragus
Canal's cartilage guard
The tragus is the small, pointed flap of cartilage that projects over the opening of the ear canal.
It's the part you press when you want to block out sound: She pushed her tragus in to muffle the noise.
The plural is tragi.
In anatomy, the corresponding projection on the inner ear is the antitragus.
