e-girl
Online alternative persona
An e-girl is a young woman with a distinctive aesthetic associated with internet culture—typically featuring dyed hair, heavy eyeliner, and anime-influenced style.
The term emerged from gaming and streaming platforms, where e-girls cultivate online personas and followings.
It can be neutral or dismissive depending on context: She's got that whole e-girl look going on.
The male equivalent is e-boy.
