Suspended ceiling light
A droplight is a light fixture suspended from the ceiling on an adjustable cord or chain, allowing the lamp to be raised or lowered as needed.
The term applies particularly to pendant lights over work surfaces or tables: She pulled the droplight down closer to get a better look at the stitching.
