Ceiling-aimed lamp
An uplight is a light fixture designed to cast illumination upward, typically placed on the floor or mounted low on a wall.
Uplights create ambient lighting by bouncing light off ceilings or walls: Uplights behind the plants gave the room a dramatic glow.
As a verb, to uplight is to illuminate something from below.
