divine ancestry
Descended from gods
Divine ancestry is descent from gods or supernatural beings.
Many ancient rulers claimed divine ancestry to legitimize their power: The pharaohs traced their divine ancestry to Ra.
Heroes in mythology often have one divine and one mortal parent.
The concept persists in some religious traditions and occasionally surfaces in modern claims of special spiritual lineage.
