discount cards
Loyalty program tokens
Discount cards are cards that entitle the holder to reduced prices at participating businesses.
Some are loyalty programs issued by retailers: I scanned my discount card at the grocery store.
Others are membership-based, offering savings across multiple vendors—student discounts, senior discounts, or wholesale club cards.
The term also covers prepaid phone cards sold below face value.
