Interdental cleaning cord
Dental floss is a thin thread, usually made of nylon or similar material, used to clean between teeth where a toothbrush cannot reach.
You slide it between adjacent teeth and move it up and down against each tooth surface to remove food particles and plaque.
The verb floss means to use dental floss: I floss every night before bed.
Flossing is widely recommended by dentists as essential to oral hygiene.
