dental X-ray
Oral cavity radiograph
A dental X-ray is a radiographic image of teeth and surrounding structures, used by dentists to detect cavities, bone loss, impacted teeth, and other conditions not visible during a regular examination.
The patient typically bites down on a small sensor or film while the X-ray is taken: The dentist found a cavity on my dental X-ray.
