crosslet
Small heraldic cross
A crosslet is a small cross, particularly in heraldry where it refers to a cross with each of its four arms ending in a smaller cross.
This creates a distinctive decorative pattern with twelve endpoints instead of four.
The term appears most often in descriptions of coats of arms and medieval ecclesiastical designs.
The shield bore three crosslets argent on a field azure.
