credit roll

End title scroll

A credit roll is the list of names and roles that scrolls across the screen at the end of a film or television program, acknowledging everyone who contributed to the production.

The term comes from the rolling motion as text moves vertically.

Credits may also roll at the beginning, though end credits are typically more comprehensive: We stayed through the credit roll to see the post-credits scene.
